LEDspan recently had the privilege of hosting John Dooley, Asgatech Group Environmental Sustainability Lead for an enlightening and informative discussion on all things Sustainability. The discussion delved into the fundamental aspects of Sustainability and why it matters. John also shed light on LEDspan’s commitment to sustainable business practices, while emphasising their conscious efforts to limit their environmental footprint.

They continued with a tour of the factory grounds, where they got to revisit our newest sustainability initiative, the bee hotels. These carefully designed structures provide shelter and nesting places for local bee populations. By supporting pollinators, LEDspan contributes to biodiversity and the health of the ecosystem.

As part of our commitment to Sustainability LEDspan along with Asgard Cleanroom Solutions have teamed up to embark on a journey towards a greener future.

The teams recently came together along with Environmental Sustainability Lead John Dooley, to plant seeds around our facility as part of LEDspan and Asgard’s Pollinator Plan. In recognition of the environmental pillar of Sustainability, our aim was to cultivate a space that supports biodiversity and create a thriving ecosystem for our planet’s essential pollinators such as bees and butterflies, while actively reducing our carbon footprint.

We’re thrilled to announce that LEDspan has been awarded a Certificate of Participation for our dedication to safeguarding our invaluable pollinators as part of the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan 2021-2025.

Before the Christmas break, we celebrated one of our colleagues reaching a huge milestone within our company.
